Summit RV to Host 1st Annual Toy Drive
Help us load our “Toy” Hauler and bring smiles to children in need this Christmas Season.
Summit RV is hosting its first annual toy drive benefiting the kids of CASA of Northeastern KY. The toy drive starts November 24th and will run through December 15th. Anyone can donate to the drive by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to Summit RV for children of all ages. Summit RV will also be donating a portion of all sales during this time frame toward the purchase of toys with the goal of filling a “toy” hauler RV with Christmas gifts for the children.
On Saturday, December 9th from 9am-12pm bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation and get a picture made with Santa!
CASA of Northeast KY, Inc. was started in 2000 by the Honorable George Davis, III and Foster Care Review Board Chair Christy Reaves. The legal community embraced the program by donating office space, equipment and supplies to get the program operational. National CASA approved membership and awarded the first operational grant, and staff was hired. Many community members volunteered in an advisory capacity serving on the Board of Directors and various committees. Today, CASA is self-sufficient through various fundraisers and grants and employs 2 full-time staff, and utilizes work study programs through local colleges and universities while also accepting practicum students for their coursework requirements. CASA is a United Way agency.
